Uncle was called by the defendant on the day of the murder: - He seemed very distant
A number of witnesses gave evidence in the Court in Glostrup on Thursday in the case of the murder of heavily pregnant Louise Borglit.
On November 4, 2016, a man was called by his nephew.
The nephew sounded desperate and unhappy on the phone. Something he had been doing lately.
The uncle had a hard time understanding what the nephew was saying to him, but he understood so much that the nephew thought it might all be the same now.
Then it was hung up. The uncle tried to call again, but without success. That's why he sounded the alarm.
However, his nephew was neither hospitalized nor arrested right away.
But on the same day, a 32-year-old pregnant woman was killed in Elverparken in Herlev with several stab wounds.
And that is the murder the nephew is now charged with. He pleads not guilty.
Was dangerous to have walking around
The trial against the now 29-year-old defendant is currently underway in the Court in Glostrup, and on Thursday the defendant's uncle was in to give a statement.
I was very worried about him. He seemed very distant
Uncle of accused murderer
It was here that he could tell that he had been called by his nephew on the same day that 32-year-old Louise Borglit was found dead.
After some years without contact, the defendant had again started to approach the uncle.
He was saddened and frustrated that much of his family, including his adoptive parents, had cut ties with him.
- I was very worried about him. He seemed very distant. I talked a lot on the phone with him at the time, the uncle told the witness stand, adding that he was trying to get the defendant committed to a psychiatric ward.
It was also the uncle's impression that the defendant got progressively worse in the autumn of 2016. Among other things, due to a drug addiction that changed him as a person.
That is why he also contacted the municipality and a psychiatric nurse, as he believed that the nephew was dangerous to have walking around.
Ex-boyfriend testified
The uncle was not the only one who experienced that the 29-year-old defendant could change personality.
Several of the witnesses who gave evidence in the Court in Glostrup on Thursday were also of the opinion that the defendant appeared to have several personalities. Among other things, the defendant's ex-girlfriend.
When the 29-year-old was charged and prosecuted for the murder of Louise Borglit in 2022, he served a second sentence for assault and threats against the ex-girlfriend.
She was therefore clearly affected by the situation and did not want the defendant present in the courtroom, who was therefore taken into a separate listening room.
According to the ex-boyfriend, their relationship was characterized by violence and threats. And finally it culminated in the defendant tying a rope around her neck and tightening it.
However, the focal point of the questioning was not what the defendant had previously done to the ex-boyfriend. But rather what he had said to her.
Changed personality in "a split second"
In court, the ex-girlfriend confirmed that in a previous interview with the police she had said that the now accused of murder had told her that he had killed a woman and that a dog was involved.
He turned into evil, pure evil

Louise Borglit was out walking her sister's dog when she was attacked and stabbed to death in 2016.
However, the ex-boyfriend also acknowledged that her memory was "holed like a sieve". A consequence of the injuries that the defendant had caused her physically while they were still together.
However, she remembered that the defendant could change personality in "a split second".
- He changed into evil, pure evil, she said with a trembling voice in court.
The defendant also talked about the fact that he had killed other people. And it was the ex-boyfriend's opinion that he was speaking from experience.
- He has indirectly said that he has tried to dismember a person before. Maybe to scare me, she told me.
Talked about killing with cellmate
In addition to the uncle and ex-boyfriend, a former police investigator in the case also gave evidence in court.
The same was done by the defendant's former defense lawyer, staff at the Psychiatric Center Ballerup, where the defendant has been hospitalized, and a former cellmate.
The latter, the former cellmate, could also say that the defendant had told him that he had killed a woman in a park or forest.
He did that when they were cellmates in Vestre Fængsel in 2018.
The fellow inmate also recalled that the defendant had explained that the victim was pregnant. However, he was a little more uncertain about that part.
- He said he felt bad and he had stabbed her. She just had to die. He talked about it so much that I finally got tired of it, said the former cellmate.
However, the man first contacted the police with his knowledge in May 2022. This happened when the Copenhagen Vestegns Police had charged the now accused 29-year-old man, and the case then received a lot of media coverage.
The next court hearing is June 12. A verdict in the case is expected at the end of June.
