According to the report, the bloody conflict between the newly elected SPD politician Iris Stalzer and her 17-year-old adopted daughter in the basement of their apartment building is said to have lasted for an extended period. 

New details: Iris Stalzer didn't want to betray her daughter

As FOCUS online learned from security sources, the 57-year-old social security lawyer wanted to use the shower downstairs in the sauna area on Tuesday morning when she encountered her daughter. A heated argument broke out, which then escalated. The 17-year-old daughter allegedly attacked her mother with two knives. Doctors later discovered 13 stab wounds to her upper body, including one in the lungs.

The suspect allegedly tried to set fire to her hated mother's hair using deodorant spray and a lighter, as FOCUS online learned. Over time, the situation is said to have calmed down somewhat. According to reports, the severely injured mayor persuaded her daughter to go upstairs and call an ambulance. In return, she refused to reveal who had attacked her, according to police sources. Once upstairs, the bloodied victim sank into a chair while her daughter called the emergency services and police.

She stated that her mother had been attacked by several men. The girl hid a blood-stained knife and her bloody clothes in a backpack belonging to her 15-year-old adopted brother. The floor was also extensively cleaned of traces of blood.

Iris Stalzer was taken to a hospital by helicopter. Urgency was required. At times, the politician's life was in danger. After a short time, suspicion fell on her children. Investigators discovered the bloody items and the murder weapon. Initially briefly questioned at the hospital, the mayor stated that she knew who had attacked her but initially refused to name any names. Upon returning from a trip that same evening, her husband persuaded Iris Stalzer to reveal the attack by their daughter.

Background of the attack

The reason for the massive attack was allegedly a long-simmering dispute. In contrast to her 15-year-old adopted son, the girl felt neglected, even disadvantaged. A feeling that frequently led to arguments within the family. The teenage daughter is said to have threatened her mother with a knife in the summer. The police were alerted at the time because of domestic violence.

Senior Public Prosecutor Bernd Haldorn has downgraded the life-threatening attack to a charge of dangerous bodily harm. This is a normal procedure, the prosecutor explained at a press conference on Wednesday. Ultimately, the accused girl called the emergency number and thus renounced the crime.

According to information from FOCUS-online, the youth welfare office has now had the suspected adopted daughter admitted to a youth psychiatric facility.
