Kyrgyz police accuse foreigners of illegal child adoption

Kyrgyz police have launched a criminal proceeding on illegal child adoption by foreigners in Bishkek, press service of the Kyrgyz Interior Ministry reported.

The charges are brought against several Kyrgyz officials who allegedly assisted foreigners in illegal children adopting. The officials are reportedly accused of power abuse and documents falsification. The falsified papers allowed foreigners to adopt 4 children from the Bishkek baby house, three of which now live in the U.S. and one in Germany.
