FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PRLog (Press Release) – Mar 25, 2011 – Great Wall China Adoption & Children of All Nations is pleased to announce that the dates for its eleventh annual Beyond Borders Conference, formerly known as East Meets West, is set for October 29 & 30, 2011, in its hometown of Austin, Texas. This annual conference provides a weekend of education, inspiration and networking for professionals, international adoption authorities and adoptive families.
The Beyond Borders Conference is dedicated to educating families about adoption programs for many countries, including Bulgaria, China, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Haiti and more, and is intended for all American adoptive families, regardless of which adoption agency they use or their stage in the adoption process. This two-day conference brings together experts in adoption to bring adoption education to as many families as possible. Conference sessions will put attendees face-to-face to with leading adoption professionals such as experts in adoption process, adoption medical professionals, orphanage directors, and representatives from foreign countries.
The keynote speakers will be Craig Juntunen and Dr. Todd Ochs, who are both prominent figures in the international adoption sphere. Dr. Ochs brings well over a decade of work with adoptive families with his medical expertise. Through his practice and adoption clinic, he has seen thousands of files and children, and is an adoptive father of Chinese children. Mr. Juntunen is an international adoption advocate, founder of Chances for Children benefiting orphans in Haiti, and an adoptive father of Haitian children. He is best known for his award-winning memoirs Both Ends Burning and public media appearances.
Attendees will have access to sessions covering topics that include international adoption, re-adoption, bonding and attachment, medical issues related to adoption, multicultural families and financing adoptions. Upon completion of the conference, attendees will earn hours of Hague-certified education training, and adoption professionals can receive CE credit hours. Families walk out of the China adoption conference well-informed and amazed by the wealth of insight they take away. For more information and to register, please visit: www.emwconference.org.
