The ORA does not recognize the figures published by the NGO

Panait said that, after changing the law, the number of adoptions in the family (spouse who adopts the child of the life partner) has decreased by introducing the DNA test and, overall, the trend is rising in terms of the number of children who have adopted as the final solution. .

He said that after evaluating 75% of the children, for 2,140 it was established that adoption should be the final measure. "It is a figure that, until now, has not been reached, even if it is below our expectations. Also, the number of cases sent to the courts has increased, and the number of families who have attested for two years and more has decreased, reaching in a few tens, "the ORA chief said. Bogdan Panait said that the institution he runs this year will continue to train both case managers and specialized staff on adoption, so that they know the new provisions and apply them correctly.
