Now the whole area of ??adoption delved

A working group under the Ministry of Social Affairs to the next year examining the Danish adoption system.

Social Affairs Karen Hækkerup be presented later today, tuesday, a comprehensive plan for how the area of ??adoption must of penetration in Denmark.

This is achieved after 21 Sunday and TV newspaper has revealed important ethical issues in the field by the use of so-called børnehøstere - between men who make money on communicating the children for adoption to include Denmark.

Minister of Social Affairs will establish a working group, which among other things has to examine whether one can make a different model than the current one, which help to needy families in developing countries are often mixed together to provide children for adoption.

It has previously been suggested to needy families in contact with aid agencies, which also offers adoption, and that this creates an ethical dilemma.

The working group will also look at which countries Denmark shall cooperate with surrounding adoption in the future, and it must be examined whether it remains organizations in Denmark as AC International Child Support and DanAdopt to be responsible for the dissemination of children for adoption.

Unity is pleased that there will now be addressed in the adoption system.

- We are particularly pleased that the starting point is also fundamental changes in the adoption system can be considered and that such supervision should be revised. Also open adoptions have been on our wish list. We do not know the results yet, but the basis for the discussions and the work we are very positive about, said the party spokesman Pernille Skipper.

Minister of Social Affairs has found that there is a need for greater openness in adoption cases, and it is also the working group to examine how it needs to be lifted legally and ethically.

Finally, the Minister of Social Affairs up to the supervision of the area must be thoroughly examined. A study Attorney General will be responsible for.

When the Attorney General has finished the study, it is planned that the working group will use it as a springboard for how supervision should be in the future.

Presentation in a year

The working group will be anchored in the Social Affairs and Integration Department of the Ministry and consist of a small number of people from the department and from the Appeals Board.

In the group should sit persons adoption professional, psychologist technical and legal expertise in the area of ??adoption, whereas it is therefore the attorney to people who need to examine supervision.

The working group will start work in early summer 2013 and Social Affairs estimates that it will be able to submit a report with recommendations for a future system in the summer of 2014.
