Fiom is the specialist for unwanted pregnancy and descent questions. We offer information and help with issues related to unwanted pregnancy, such as choice questions, renouncing your child and processing an abortion. In addition, we help people in their search for biological family at home and abroad and we manage the KID-DNA Database that makes a match possible with anonymous donorship. We share our knowledge with professionals through our knowledge collection, training and advice. The starting point in Fiom's work is the freedom of choice of unwanted pregnant women and the right to pedigree data.

What does the job involve?
You focus on the (further) development of interventions and knowledge transfer in the field of kinship questions. In addition, as a specialist you play a key role in strengthening our national and international network and consolidating the role of Fiom as the gateway to knowledge and help with kinship questions. Within the kinship questions team you contribute to the strategy and development of the program and you fulfill the role of project manager for various projects. You maintain contacts with both national and international relations and important partners. Here you identify and take advantage of opportunities to expand the network to strengthen Fiom's role in it. You represent Fiom in the network of International Social Service. You keep the agenda public and political of important Fiom topics so that you can support the organization in forming opinions on the relevant topics with adequate and valid information.
What does your working day at Fiom look like?
The day starts with a cup of coffee with colleagues at the office in ‘s-Hertogenbosch.
You then have a project consultation about the development and implementation of standardized internal work processes.
You then have telephone consultations with international cooperation partners about strengthening the international network.
In the afternoon you will look for relevant pieces that can be included in the digital knowledge collection.
You close your working day by writing a news item following social developments in the field of intercountry adoption.
Who are you?
You have a WO working and thinking level, preferably in one of the social sciences or rights (personal, family and juvenile law).
You have at least 5 years of work experience.
You are an experienced project leader and experienced in project-based work.
You have experience with analyzing social trends and scientific developments and can translate these into input for Fiom.
You have strong communication and organizational skills.
You master the English language in speech and writing.
You have experience (or affinity) with maintaining contact with ministries and political parties.
You have oral, written and didactic skills for strategic policy development, publications and communication with numerous target groups.

We bieden informatie en hulp bij vraagstukken omtrent ongewenste zwangerschap, zoals keuzevragen, afstand doen van je kind en verwerking van een abortus. Daarnaast helpen we mensen bij hun zoektocht naar biologische familie in binnen- en buitenland en beheren we de KID-DNA Databank die een match bij anoniem donorschap mogelijk maakt. We delen onze kennis met professionals via onze kenniscollectie, trainingen en advies. Uitgangspunt in het werk van Fiom is de keuzevrijheid van ongewenst zwangere vrouwen en het recht op afstammingsgegevens.

Ontwikkeling & kennisoverdracht

Wat houdt de functie in?
Je richt je op het (door)ontwikkelen van interventies en kennisoverdracht op het gebied van verwantschapsvragen. Daarnaast vervul je als specialist een sleutelrol in het versterken van ons landelijke en internationale netwerk en het bestendigen van de rol van Fiom als de toegangspoort tot kennis en hulp bij verwantschapsvragen. Binnen het team verwantschapsvragen lever je een bijdrage aan de strategie en ontwikkeling van het programma en vervul je de rol van projectleider voor diverse projecten. Je onderhoudt contacten met zowel nationale als internationale relaties en belangrijke partners. Hierbij signaleer en benut je kansen om het netwerk uit te breiden om de rol van Fiom daarin te verstevigen. Je vertegenwoordigt Fiom in het netwerk van International Social Service. Je houdt de agendering publiek en politiek bij van belangrijke Fiomonderwerpen zodat je de organisatie kan ondersteunen in de meningsvorming over de betreffende onderwerpen met adequate en valide informatie.
Hoe ziet jouw werkdag bij Fiom eruit?
De dag begint met een kop koffie met collega’s op kantoor in ‘s-Hertogenbosch.
Vervolgens heb je een projectoverleg over het ontwikkelen en implementeren van gestandaardiseerde interne werkprocessen.
Daarna heb je telefonisch overleg met internationale samenwerkingspartners over het versterken van het internationale netwerk.
‘s Middags ga je op zoek naar relevante stukken die opgenomen kunnen worden in de digitale kenniscollectie.
Je sluit je werkdag af met het schrijven van een nieuwsbericht naar aanleiding van maatschappelijke ontwikkelingen op het gebied van interlandelijke adoptie.
Wie ben jij?
Je hebt WO werk- en denkniveau, bij voorkeur in een van de sociale wetenschappen of rechten (personen-, familie- en jeugdrecht).
Je hebt minimaal 5 jaar werkervaring.
Je bent een ervaren projectleider en ervaren in projectmatig werken.
Je hebt ervaring met het analyseren van maatschappelijke trends en wetenschappelijke ontwikkelingen en kan deze vertalen naar input voor Fiom.
Je hebt sterke communicatieve en organisatorische vaardigheden.
Je beheerst de Engelse taal in woord en geschrift.
Je hebt ervaring (of affiniteit) met het onderhouden van contacten met ministeries en politieke partijen.
Je hebt mondelinge, schriftelijke en didactische vaardigheden voor strategische beleidsontwikkeling, publicaties en communicatie met tal van doelgroepen.
