Maria M?dalina Turza was appointed by Prime Minister Victor Orban, president of the National Authority for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, Children and Adoptions, on Thursday.
M?d?lina Turza, states on the institution's website: "I have about 10 years of experience in government PR and European Affairs and I started my career in a non-governmental organization dedicated to the protection and promotion of human rights, and especially of refugees. By the nature of the activities carried out in these years, my expertise covers a quite large area, which ranges from public communication, political communication, project management, international cooperation, European affairs and, last but not least, human rights. a current development within the CEDCD is a personal and professional challenge, whose motivations are beyond a simple career option and for this I will try to make the most of the resources and experience gained during all these years. "
Maria M?d?lina Turza, 41, is the president of the European Center for the Rights of the Children with Disabilities. She is the mother of a girl with Down syndrome, a human rights activist and a volunteer for the rights of children with disabilities for over 10 years. She has a degree in Political Science from the University of Bucharest, has a Master's Degree in Inclusive Education Policies and Inclusive Psychopedagogy at the University of Minnesota, USA, postgraduate studies in International Humanitarian Law, as well as a series of specialization courses in the field of the law of persons with disabilities, of European institutions and legislation on combating discrimination, according to G4Media.ro
