For the Ministry of Justice and Security we are looking for a Senior Communication Advisor for 8 hours a week for the Distance and Adoption project. Are you strong in strategic communication advice? Organization

Prevent crime. Protect victims and vulnerable people. Punishing perpetrators and offering them perspective. And in doing so, collaborate with partners such as municipalities, healthcare, the social domain, probation organizations, companies and various others. That is what the Directorate-General for Punishment and Protection (DGSenB) stands for. DGSenB is collaborative and innovative. The social task is central to them; they focus on sanction implementation and assistance to victims. In this way, DGSenB and its partners contribute to a safe and liveable Netherlands by means of compensation and reintegration. Victim policy, high impact crimes, prison system, probation, youth, integrity policy, games of chance, philanthropy, international child abduction, intercountry adoption and international child protection: these are a few of DGSenB's areas of activity that are diverse. Position

Project Distance and Adoption

The main aim of the project is to build up cooperation with advocates in preparation for the publication of a report by the Verwey-Jonker Institute on distance and adoption 1956 - 1984. This trust has disappeared when the mistakes that were made in the organization of the Remote and Adoption Application Point. Before the project can start working on the main goal, repair measures must first be established. The Lower House has asked the government to appoint an expert of stature to assess all this.

The Distance and Adoption project has various moments when and products that need to be communicated with victims of distance and adoption. This requires very good communication in terms of content and form and therefore specific expertise, which is not available within the Ministry of Justice and Security.

Description of work

The candidate will provide strategic communication advice on how to reach unorganized stakeholders and how to communicate with existing advocates. In addition, the candidate will develop means of communication and will partly perform activities himself (texts for Rijksoverheid.nl, letters to advocates, etc.). The candidate will function in a small project team that may physically meet as little as possible. The candidate will also form the link between the project team and the Communication Department of the Ministry of Justice and Security.

The candidate has demonstrable knowledge and work experience with communication to vulnerable groups of citizens.

Organisatie

Criminaliteit voorkomen. Slachtoffers en kwetsbare personen beschermen. Daders straffen én perspectief bieden. En daarbij samenwerken met partners als gemeenten, de zorg, het sociaal domein, reclasseringsorganisaties, bedrijven en diverse anderen. Daar staat het directoraat-generaal Straffen en Beschermen (DGSenB) voor. DGSenB is samenwerkingsgericht en werkt innovatief. Voor hun staat de maatschappelijke opgave centraal; zij richten zich op de sanctie-uitvoering en hulp aan slachtoffers. Daarmee draagt DGSenB met haar partners bij aan een veilig en leefbaar Nederland door middel van genoegdoening en re-integratie. Slachtofferbeleid, high impact crimes, gevangeniswezen, reclassering, jeugd, integriteitsbeleid, kansspelen, filantropie, internationale kinderontvoering, interlandelijke adoptie en internationale kinderbescherming: dit is een greep uit het werkterrein van DGSenB dat divers is. Functie

Project Afstand en Adoptie

Het project beoogt ten principale de samenwerking met belangenbehartigers op te bouwen ter voorbereiding op het uitbrengen van een rapport door het Verwey-Jonker Instituut over afstand en adoptie 1956 – 1984. Dit vertrouwen is weggevallen met het duidelijk worden van de fouten die gemaakt zijn bij de inrichting van het Aanmeldpunt afstand en adoptie. Voordat het project aan het hoofddoel kan gaan werken, moeten eerst reparatiemaatregelen tot stand worden gebracht. De Tweede Kamer heeft de regering gevraagd om een deskundige van statuur aan te stellen die dit allemaal moet beoordelen.

?Aanleiding opdracht?

Het project Afstand en Adoptie kent verschillende momenten waarop en producten waarover gecommuniceerd moet worden met slachtoffers van afstand en adoptie. Dat vraagt om hele goede communicatie qua inhoud en vorm en daarom om specifieke expertise, die binnen het ministerie van JenV niet beschikbaar is.

?Omschrijving werkzaamheden?

De kandidaat zal strategisch communicatieadvies bieden over de vraag hoe de niet georganiseerde belanghebbenden kunnen worden bereikt en hoe met bestaande belangenbehartigers moet worden gecommuniceerd. Daarnaast zal de kandidaat communicatiemiddelen ontwikkelen en deels zelf uitvoerende werkzaamheden verrichten (teksten voor Rijksoverheid.nl, brieven aan belangenbehartigers e.d.). De kandidaat zal in een klein projectteam functioneren dat zo min mogelijk fysiek bij elkaar mag komen. Tevens zal de kandidaat de verbinding vormen tussen het projectteam en de Directie Communicatie van het ministerie van JenV.
