Gandhinagar (Kottayam): The four little North Indian girls who were rescued and adopted
by Malayali couple Thomas and Neena are all set to go to school. On Kerala Piravi day,
they will officially start learning Malayalam.
It was in the middle of a train journey, Puthupally native Thomas and his wife Neena met
the four girl children at Pune railway station. The abandoned kids were named Eyra Elsa
Thomas (9), twins Andrea Rose Thomas, Eylen Sara Thomas (8) and Alexandria Sara
Thomas (6).
Thomas is a PRO in the development committee of Government Medical College in
Kottayam. With the help of a friend in Pune, Thomas obtained temporary custody of
children and brought them to Kerala
Eyra has been admitted to fourth standard, Andrea and Eylen to third standard and
Alexandria to first standard at Saint Ann's School. Neena has already taught them
Malayalam during the lockdown period and prepared them for school.
Youngest girl Alexandria was all excited as she got uniforms and new books. Even in the
happiness of seeing his children in uniforms, Thomas reminded them to wear the masks all
time at school.
