Fiom is the expertise center in the field of unwanted pregnancy, distance & adoption and kinship questions. Working at Fiom is based on the right to self-determination of unwanted pregnant women and the right of a child to know where he or she comes from and to grow up while retaining his or her own identity. Fiom offers information and help with unwanted pregnancy, aftercare in the field of adoption and guides people in their search for biological family at home and abroad. In addition, we manage the KID-DNA Database, which enables a match between a donor child and an anonymous donor. We do all this with about 80 motivated employees from our offices in 's-Hertogenbosch and Houten.
For our Kinship Questions program we are looking for several:
SENIOR SPECIALIST(S) POLICY
Program Kinship
Questions 16-28 hours per week
with various focus areas including donor conception (16 hours per week),
adoption aftercare (28 hours per week) and family search (24 hours per week).
What does the job involve?
You focus on the (further) development of interventions and knowledge transfer in the field of kinship questions. In addition, as a specialist you play a key role in strengthening our national and international network and perpetuating Fiom's role as the gateway to knowledge and help with kinship questions. Within the kinship questions team you contribute to the strategy and development of the program and you fulfill the role of project leader for various projects. You maintain contact with both national and international relations and important partners. You identify and use opportunities to expand the network in order to strengthen Fiom's role in it. You represent Fiom in the International Social Service network. You keep up with the public and political agenda of important Fiom topics,
What does your working day at Fiom look like?
You start the day by catching up with colleagues at the office or via Teams.
You then have a project meeting about developing and implementing standardized internal work processes.
Depending on your area of ??interest, you can, for example, consult with international cooperation partners about strengthening the international network, or talk to a care provider about a complex question from a donor child that is registered in the KID-DNA database. Providing substantive input on suspending intercountry adoption and co-developing a preventive offer for adoption aftercare can also be part of your work.
In the afternoon you will look for relevant documents that can be included in the digital knowledge collection.
You end your working day by writing a news item in response to social developments in the field of intercountry adoption.
Who are you?
You have completed a university degree in law (for example, law of persons, family or juvenile law) or social sciences.
You have at least 5 years of work experience.
You are an experienced project manager and experienced in project work.
You have experience in analyzing social trends and scientific developments and can translate these into input for Fiom.
You have strong communication and organizational skills.
You master the English language verbally and in writing. Preferably you also have a command of the Spanish language.
You have experience (or affinity) with maintaining contacts with ministries and political parties.
You have oral, written and didactic skills for strategic policy development, publications and communication with numerous target groups.

Salary and employment conditions in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement for Social Work, scale 10 (= € 3,221 to € 4,830 gross per month with full employment 36 hours per week).
