Fiom is the center of expertise in the field of unwanted pregnancy, distance & adoption and related questions. The starting point of working at Fiom is the right of self-determination of unwanted pregnant women and the right of a child to know where he or she comes from and to grow up while retaining its own identity. Fiom offers information and help with unwanted pregnancies, aftercare in the field of adoption and guides people in their search for biological family in the Netherlands and abroad. We also manage the KID-DNA Database, which enables a match between a donor child and an anonymous donor. We do all this with approximately 80 passionate employees from our offices in 's-Hertogenbosch and Houten and from our home workplaces.

Where do you come to work?
Within the Kinship Questions programme, focus area Searching for Family, the focus is on searching for information about your origin and providing care to children who have been relinquished in the past and mothers who have relinquished their child in the past. Searching for information about your origin can be done, among other things, by actually searching for family members in the Netherlands and abroad and by viewing files from the Fiom archive. In addition, Fiom manages a large number of registers with the aim of connecting a searcher and a wanted one. We also provide care to children who have been relinquished in the past and to mothers who have relinquished their child in the past through individual and group discussions.
What does the job involve?
As a policy advisor within the program Kinship Questions, focus area Searching for Family at Fiom, you contribute to the strategy and development of the program and you also fulfill the role of project leader for various projects. You initiate and realize the (further) development of services, products and solution-oriented ideas and ensure their implementation, whether or not in a project context. You work together with your colleagues from the national and international search teams and emergency services. In addition, as a specialist you play a key role in strengthening our national and international network and perpetuating Fiom's role as the gateway to knowledge and help with related questions.
Who are you?
You have completed a university education, for example Social Sciences and/or Law;
You have demonstrable knowledge of and (work) experience within the knowledge area distance and adoption;
You have experience (or affinity) with maintaining contacts with ministries and political parties;
You can work on a project basis and you have experience with analyzing social trends and scientific developments and you can translate these into input for Fiom;
You have innovative capacity for continuous improvement of existing services and devising innovative activities that are in line with the objectives of the organization;
You have social skills, such as tact, stimulating capacity, persuasiveness and enthusiasm, for leading and collaborating within projects and developing policy and a long-term vision;
You have excellent oral, written and didactic skills for strategic policy development, publications and communication with numerous target groups.
What do we offer?
Salary and terms of employment in accordance with collective labor agreement Social Work, scale 10 max. € 4,927 gross per month based on 36 hours per week;
Annual contract with possibility of extension;
Work from home policy with a combination of working from home and on location;

IKB consisting of the year-end bonus of 8.3% and a holiday allowance of 8%;
