The LYDIA Fund
What We Do The LYDIA fund exists to deliver youths from institutions, by means of adoption. To break down some of the words and phrases in our name: "Let Youths Be Delivered" - This statement points to: Our desire that children of every age and race should be delivered from institutions Our belief that God wills and works on behalf of orphans to care for them and deliver them Our dedication to assisting in the deliverance of youth from institutions "Institutions" - This refers to orphanages and other state-run institutions that children are placed in all over the world. No matter how loving the workers at an institution, we believe that nothing can replace the loving care of a mother and father. "Adoption" - The means by which we seek to deliver youth from institutions. Just as God the Father seeks believers to be adopted into his family, we seek to follow that model by adopting and assisting in the adoption of orphaned children. How We Do It The LYDIA Fund helps deliver youth from institutions by helping married Christian couples to pay for the overseas portions of their adoption expenses. The money we use in this supporting role comes totally from donations from individuals and organizations that choose to support us. Without this God-given support, The LYDIA fund would be unable to function. For more information on the specifics of how we distribute funds, please read our FAQ.
