A European Policy on Adoption - 9 Nov 2006
The ALDE group in the European Parliament has organised a conference entitled "A European Policy on Adoption" with experts in the field of international adoptions to discuss whether orphans and children in care are adequately protected in the Member States of the EU. The discussion included real stories from children concerned and examined the psychological, legislative and social aspects of adoption whilst asking whether the EU itself has a responsibility in this field.
